The two people responsible - "Defiant" and "EBK" - took credit for the attacks along with their group Kryogeniks. Shortly afterwards, Threat Level interviewed the two hackers, and "Defiant" said "I wish I was a minor right now because this is going to be really bad." The two hackers stated that they warned Comcast about the attacks, and when they brushed them off, they took their attack up a step.

Here's where the kid "Defiant" screwed up. First off, if you're going to attack a business as large as Comcast, I could understand maybe wanting to brag about it. It is a neat little accomplishment. But if you are going to leave a name, DO NOT have anything that can link you to that alias. While reading the interview, the author noted that the kid had a myspace page. He also mentioned the kid stated he lived "Cashville, Tennessee". A quick google search with the terms "Defiant", "Cashville", and "Tennesse" returned his personal myspace. The kid has a myspace, with his real name, set up with the name Defiant all over it. It took me literally a minute to find him, and probably took law enforcement even faster. Now all they have to do is subpoena Myspace for his information and he's done.

If you're going to try and make a name for yourself on the internet doing things such as script kiddie DNS hijacks, at least use an anonymous identity. It's the same problem that wannabe gangsters have. They go around attaching their names to jobs they have done in order to make themselves known. These are the people who get caught - the people who brag. They are more interested in the image they are going to get after doing the job then staying out of jail. Then again, there are the people who almost want to go to jail to build up their image. Why anyone would ever want to get into trouble or go to jail is beyond me. Oh well. The attack was good, just sucks that he was careless and is more than likely going to get in trouble for it.

If AIDs Don't Get Yah Than The Warheads Will.

Last night I saw the Cro-Mags. It's still so surreal to me. I will always remember reading interviews with people saying the best show they have ever been to was Cro-Mags shows. And to think that I saw Cro-Mags in Miami at Churchills... wow. Its unbelievable. The show was off the chain. I got to the show right before DNME played. I hadn't seen DNME since like 2005, nor do I think they have even played a show since then. It was definitely one of the more tame DNME sets I have seen, but still greatt none the less. Absolution played a reunion also. I only have listened to a few Absolution songs, and only after someone burned me a mix with the New Breed Comp on it. I think it might have been John McHale, but I don't remember. Anyways, just seeing the band live. Wow. I had read recently that Djinji Brown hadn't done anything since Absolution relating to hardcore, but the guy definitely still has it in him. The man had a lot of good things to say, and you could definitely tell by his stage antics that he was a huge H.R. and Bad Brains fan. After their set, Djinji gave a huge shout out to Bad Brains. Next up... Cro-Mags!

Before the first note even played I had butterflies in my stomach. JJ came on stage, and when the first note hit, it was on. They kicked off the set with World Peace. From then on, it was non-stop movement. Stage diving was in full effect throughout the set, Koopz chipped JJ's tooth, and I moshed into the concrete pillar in the middle of Churchills. They played World Peace, Survival Of The Streets, Street Justice, It's The Limit, Life Of My Own, Malfunction, Show You No Mercy, Don't Tread On Me, Signs Of The Times, and possibly one more. Then they kicked into a cover of Right Brigade by Bad Brains, and then ended the set with We Gotta Know straight into Hard Times. It was surreal.

Seeing Cro-Mags was something that I never thought I would see happen, and I was able to see them alongside some of my bestfriends. It was a great night. No bullshit, no fights. Just Cro-Mags.

One note though. Kids need to learn how to stage dive and make it look good, otherwise you just look like a salmon who just flopped out of the water.

Paranoia Is What Keeps Me Alive.

First off, let me throw a SPOILER ALERT out into the air so you know that if you haven't watched the Lost Season 4 Finale yet, don't continue reading.

The Lost Season 4 Finale was so good last night. At the end of the the two hours, there was no way anyone could not just sit back and wonder... "what the fuck?". I, for one, realied at the end of the episode that I love Benjamin Linus. His character is hard as nails.

Ben is ruthless - he will kill whoever he needs to as long as it is in his best interest. Ben is vengeful - he leaves the island in the hands of John Locke so that he can go and wreack havoc on Whidmore for killing his "daughter", Alex.

Ben is, for the most part, always in control of the situation - besides the incident involving the death of Alex,

Ben is always in control. He thinks like a chess player, always thinking 5 moves ahead of his opponent so that he will always have the upper hand.

In hindsight, Benjamin Linus is a hard mother fucker who won't hesitate to end your existence on this planet if it will benefit him. RUTHLESS.

I do not think Jin is dead. When the freighter blew up, he was at the very end of the ship, and the explosion came from the other end of the ship. It's very likely that Jin was able to get off the ship, and remain in the water until Daniel's little boat could pick him up. I also wonder what Sun's motives are behind wanting to work with Whidmore. Perhaps Sun received word somehow that Jin was still alive and on the island, and she is only using Whidmore to help her find the island and then she'll deal with him afterwards. Sun is rutheless as well, which is awesome.

I also do not understand why John Locke would leave the island after he fought so hard to stay on it. One possibility could be that John is the reason behind all the terrible things that have happened on the island since they left - according to Jack that is. Who knows. All I know is that for some odd reason, John Locke is dead in a casket at the very very last scene. God only knows why.

Sawyer is a bad ass. Plain and simple. Man has heart. "For those I love I will sacrifice".

Is Richard in fact Jacob? Many people seem to think that Christian Shephard (Jack's father) is Jacob. I will disagree only because Christian says when he first meets John Locke that he is only a representative of Jacob. I think Richard might be Jacob because, for one, he does not age. You see him meet a very young John Locke, a very young Benjamin Linus, and he still looks the same. The other reason why I feel like Richard might be Jacob is because he seems to be able to come and go from the island as he pleases. Hopefully within the next few seasons, they will give some sort of insight into Richard's real purpose.

For those of you that did not pay attention, during the commercials there was mention of 3 different endings. Here are the 2 other alternate endings. Just a heads up, they are kind of weak.

BigDoucheBag.com

I think my new favorite website might be BigDoucheBag.com, and I will let you all figure out why.

Classic.

Ikea is a crazy store. You go into the store looking for certain things in particular, and all of a sudden you are bombarded by so many choices. Don't forget that they have EVERYTHING, so you see so many items that you may not need, but then you wonder "well am I going to need or want this later?". They opened a new location in South Florida near Sawgrass Mall. I recently went to the Orlando location for the first time, and that was the first time I had been to an Ikea in over 7 years since I lived in New York.

This Friday is Cro-Mags Jam at Churchills. John Josef and Mackie doing a sort-of scab band playing songs off of Age Of Quarrel. Other bands are doing cover sets, including a Quicksand set and an Alone In A Crowd set. It's going to be an awesome night to say the least. The following night is Blacklisted and Paint It Black at Klein's Dance Studio in Lakeworth. Foundation from ATL is going to be playing the show. It's taking place June 3rd and 4th at the Miami Beach Convention Center. I'm sort of interested in going, so if anyone reading this would maybe want to go look into something new, get a hold of me. There are some keynote presentations that I am interested in attending, such as Internet Economy. It's nerdy but it should be fun.

On a completely random yet related note, my Dad invited me to go with him to the Intel Channel Conference tomorrow at the Hilton at the Miami Airport. Should be interesting. I'm assuming it's just going to be one big sales pitch into why consumers and companies should go with Intel products and maybe some technical lectures. It can either be really interesting, or make me want to commit ritualistic suicide. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Heat Seeking Missles, Foxes, Bloodhounds, Barracuda.

Pineapple Express. They fit the clips from the flick into the music perfectly. And to top it all off, the movie looks hilarious. Seth Rogan, James Franco... and Lumbergh. Yes, Gary Cole, a.k.a. Bill Lumbergh from Office Space. Mike Judge is also directing this masterpiece. I haven't liked anything that has come out of Daytona Beach since Same Mistake a few years ago. To be honest, I always said that I hated going to shows in Daytona Beach, but as much as I didn't like it, they were lots of fun and hold a lot of good memories. I even saw John bitchslap Colin in front of the Daytona Ale House hostess... classic.

Anyways, I have only seen Meantime a few times, but this band kills it live. They have a sound similar to Buried Alive / Terror, with lyrics that can be compared to Trial. They aren't talking about bullshit and what's cool, and I love the raw emotion you can hear in the singer's voice. Right now all they have out is a demo (which you can download HERE), and I believe they are releasing a record on Double or Nothing Records in the near future. Keep your eyes and ears open for this band, this is one of my favorite demos dropped recently.

Free Whodie.

Good news came in recently about a good friend of mine, Won Jun's, court case. From what I was told, the judge that first tried the case is going to look over the case again. Even though it's not certain whether or not they are going to release him, it's still a very positive step in the right direction. His parents are very optimistic about the news, and I am as well. They said that he may even be out by the end of June. I also recently found an article in Focus Skate Mag that is an interview with Whodie about Skating and his Art. It is of my friend Julian a.k.a. K00PZ, dressed as a vagina, and riding a scooter off some ramp into a canal. It's pretty fucking awesome if you ask me. He does graphic design work for some porn company in Miami and has a design company / clothing line called Demented Youth. In light of the video, I decided to interview Julian on this boring Monday night to try and get some insight into the mind of this goof ball.

What’s up k00pz! Introduce yourself right quick.

Yo wuddup my names Julian, I’m from Miami, and I go to school at Art Institute majoring in graphic design. The edge is in full effect.

What exactly is it that you do for a living?

-I hustle, and I do advertising for sites such as fling.com, wealthymen.com, webdate.com, and partnered up with realitykings. Also do a lot of freelance graphic design for people, bands, and companies.

I recently stumbled upon the video of you as a flying vagina.

- oh boy.

Could you please give us some insight on how that came about and what an experience like that was like?

-Well since I sorta work around everything realitykings, I’m kind of friends with all the people moneytalks who make all the magic happen, so the guy who makes the skits happen, needed a “bad ass” kid (haha) to do the stunt.. so they picked me because I’m young and I looked the part or whatever.. At first I only heard “ You’re jumping off a ramp on a scooter dressed as a vagina “ so I was like, man, I can do that for 500 dollars. Then when I arrived on the scene, it’s all fucking changed up.. I was laughing though because it was so ridiculous.. They wanted me to get into a motorized scooter, that was wrapped up in a big inflatable vagina, and jump off a 6 ft ramp into the south beach ocean, while pyrotechnics were blowing up beside me. I really didn’t want to do it but it was fun in the end I guess. $500 bucks? Why not look like an idiot for a couple of seconds… The host was hot and the people were all really nice and cool about everything. It was completely safe, so I wasn’t too spooked.

You mentioned how you work for RealityKings, how did you get involved in the porn industry at such a young, ripe age?

- People make it seem like getting involved with the porn industry is so sacred and hidden, when really, it’s right around the corner and anybody (with the right qualifications, depending on what you want to do) can get involved in it. Luckily, someone close to me was already working for the company, so he filled in the word for me, and I gave them a preview of what I can do, they liked it and hired me. Yeah I’m young and this is probably not healthy, but it’s not that bad. It’s actually a lot of fun, and it’s not so uptight like other companies. I’m very lucky to be with this company. I hope I never leave.

Fill the world in on Demented Youth.

Demented Youth means a crazy youth. I feel I have/had a demented youth, by the things I grew up with, such as cartoons, music, my environment, movies, people I am surrounded by, and the way I think (which is very demented). It’s a little thing I’m doing by myself, and it’s basically me doing designs for myself, bands and other people who want shit done. It started off as a freelance shindig, but it’s also soon to be a clothing line if everything falls in correctly. Now, I’m not doing a clothing line for “cred” or because joe shmo has one so I should have one too, I’m doing it because I love art and clothing. I’v e always been a fan of old skateboard shirts (hook-ups, alien workshop) and the designs/graphics used on it always inspired me to draw and do shit like that. I’ve been very observant of other “clothing lines” everywhere for a while, and I’m trying to stray away from the typical hardcore or street clothing lines, and making it my own. A lot of the designs I make will be shit that has inspired me or changed me as a person growing up.

http://www.myspace.com/dementedxyouth
http://dementedyouth.blogspot.com

You get pretty fucking wild at shows. I’ve seen you even flash the singers, hump their legs, and jump on their backs. What is going on in the mind of Julian at those moments?

Man it’s like, fuck it. I do a lot of weird shit at shows that sometimes I don’t even know why man, I guess it’s just like, get fucking crazy man. If it’s a band I dig, I’ll fuckin fall on the floor and gargle my spit. It’s just how I feel at that moment that it gets me so pumped to do whatever the fuck I can haha, it’s hard to explain. Plus, some kids are just boring at shows, at least down here. Everyone thinks too damn much, everyone is worried or paranoid I don’t know.. Just get wild man, nothing wrong with that.

What’s your opinion on hardcore in 2008?

2008 looks fucking awesome! One of the memorable moments for 2008 in hardcore for me was when I went to united blood fest in Richmond, Virginia. It was probably the most exciting fest/show I’ve been too. I mean, I haven’t been to many fests, but the lineup was so solid and every band put on such a good performance that I was just so siked on everything. I went up with some friends from South FL to see this fest. And during the whole fest I felt like wow, this is why I listen to this music, this is why I go to shows, because of this crowd, because of the power throughout the whole venue, because of the moment, because of the band putting all their effort because they love this music. It just made me feel so confident and prideful that I’m apart of this. It was such a great experience for me to travel outside and get a taste of hardcore in other states. It’s a lot different from south FL, that’s for sure. One of the things I hate is people complaining about hardcore this and hardcore that, and hardcore is not the same and this band sounds like this, and this band is “overhyped”. People are thinking too damn much man! Another thing that kind of makes me mad is people not actually buying hardcore records. 2007-2008 is torrentland for hardcore bands, and it kind of sucks. Buy a damn record, it’s a great feeling to have the actual product in your hands...

and As far as releases go,

Blacklisted – Heavier then heaven, Lonelier than god: I can’t even begin to explain how good this record is, It’s probably one of my favorite hardcore albums to date.

Trapped Under Ice – Stay Cold 7” is so fucking awesome, this band is heading down the right path.

Those two have stood out for me the most.

There seems to be lots of tension between Miami and Broward hardcore scenes. Why do so many kids hate on Broward?

To tell you the truth, I have no fucking idea. But I can’t describe how much I hate it. I’m somehow tied in between, because I love a lot of people in Miami, and I love a lot of people in Broward. It seems so childish. People have social issues, and don’t know how to communicate correctly with each other, so it’s always a weird fucking tension every time the two counties collide at a show. I guess that happens in a lot of places…

I know you’re into lots of weird ass music besides hardcore. What records have you been jamming lately? Any newer bands you think people should be checking out?

I am into a lot of fucking weird shit, I grew up listening to a lot of different music. I feel that if you don’t expose yourself to other music, that you just become narrow minded and get stuck in your own loophole. I have no shame in what I listen to.

I’ve been listening to a lot of jazz and classical music but lately I’ve been listening to:

Aphex Twin – Drukqs, Experimental glitchy dark electronic album, probably my favorite record from the man.
Frank Sinatra – just listen to anything from this man, he’s one of the greatest solo artist ever to be created. I fucking love Frank Sinatra. I have his whole discography which is over 1,000 songs, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever heard.

Eminem – Infinite, before Eminem got all fucking crazy, he had a really good hip-hop album that was more chill and relaxed, the beats are amazing and his lyrics are insane, great album of you haven’t heard it yet.

Plumbline / roger eno: very nice ambient feel, bassy and filled with good little melodies, if you like IDM, get into this.

Online radio stations are under-rated, listen to Soma FM (any of the stations) for good electronic music, Bassdrive for delicious drum and bass, Earthbeat for really good hip-hop.

As far as hardcore bands go, LISTEN TO:
ALPHA AND OMEGA
FORFEIT
PRESSVRE
NO TRUCE
CRUCIFIED
MEANTIME

What’s next for k00pz and your work?

I really want to travel a lot. I’m trying to head out to all the hardcore

fests that I can. I’ve been trying to head out to Japan since I was 9, but I want to save that for a group trip. I have a bunch of designs that are going to be printed for demented youth, start off fresh and hopefully that will pop-off into something awesome. The demented youth website will be fully created hopefully by the end of this month or next. Another website dedicated to clothing will be coming out, I’m partnering up with my friends Neek and Rob from Las Vegas, and I think this site will really get big. I’ll be doing a shit load of graphical work for everyone so I’ll be back in business. After this semester is over I just want to work on as much shit as I can. I’LL ALSO BE HITTING THE GYM HARD, SO LADIES. ;)

Give some shout outs.

Shit, shout out to my moms and brother for being awesome fam’. Shout out to milk, orange juice, and Arizona iced tea for keeping me sane. Shout out to nick sick as balls, all my Broward peeps. Shout out to my las vegas girls, I love yall. Shout out to Double or Nothing for keeping it tight down here. Shout out to thick as blood for touring everywhere, I love you dudes, wish I would hang out with you guys more. Breakeven booking for keeping south FL hardcore up and alive. Shout out to everybody that I love man, you guys are awesome, I don’t know how you can hang with someone as small and obnoxious as me. And lastly, all the ladies that show mad love for me, I love it, and I love you too.

All Bark And No Bite

I'll never understand the whole "I started to train MMA so now I can fight everyone" routine. There is a difference between someone who has the heart to fight and starts training, and some random suburban nerd thinking training MMA will make him a fighter. My favorite routine is the kids who start training and the next week think they can take on the world. It's fucking ridiculous. The friends I have that do train were animals before they started. There's a difference between first fighting on the streets and then fighting in a cage, and learning to fight in a cage and trying to take it to the streets. Just because you can put someone in an arm-bar doesn't mean you'll beat anyone who has been in street fights. Shit is weak. You can dress up in a costume and pretend you're superman, but when it comes down to it, you're just some nerd wearing a cape.

Nothing For Nothing.

Happy Mother's Day. Spent today doing a bunch of errands for Momma Dukes and then went out to dinner with my grandma, her 96 year old boyfriend, my parents and brother. My grandmother's boyfriend, Myron, is awesome. All he does is crack jokes on everyone and everything, it rules. He makes going out to yuppie dinners worth it.

I was at some weak ass party last night, and besides hanging out with some legit kids and watching someone's head get slammed into a circuit breaker hard enough to cause that power in the bathroom to go out, shit was weak. Kids are way selfish these days. The kid whose apartment it was at was nice enough to let these young kids who call themselves his friends wreck themselves at his place, and they didn't show him any respect. He asked that no one smoke on his patio because it would make the neighbors call the cops, and of course some people did. Then the cops pulled into his neighborhood and someone came to tell him so he asked everyone to shut up for a few minutes and let him straighten it out, and everyone just kept fucking yapping away. Shit was way weak. No respect.

Everyone should check out these bands.

Unforgiven
Steel Nation

Crucified
Trapped Under Ice
Rhythm To The Madness
Mother Of Mercy
Forfeit
Meantime

Jordan Lyon Interview

Jordan Lyon is one of those kids that always has a smile on his face. I’m a pretty out going individual I think and I im constantly doing something I can never sit in one place for to long glad I got this interview to do while Im flying I was getting a lil ancy there for a minute. But yeah im probably not as cool as I think I am but whatever.

What's a typical day like in the life of Jordan?

Wake up around 730 either go to school or work then usually get home around 3 or 4 and just hang out at home with gam gam I watch scrubs everyday at 6 and 630 on comedy central great show then after scrubs I will go down to clicks billiards and play the 7 oclock free roll poker game drink a few beers go home and chill, or if there a crucial show going down im there.

You used to be a Florida native, but a few years ago you re-located to San Antonio, TX. How's Grams been, and how is the San Antonio hardcore scene compared so south Florida’s scene?

Texas is awesome I love it, I moved at a time in my life when things just weren’t really going my way so I got a new start in a new city not knowing anyone but my grandma, and now that I have been here for 3 years and I have more friends than I know what to do with. Hardcore in San Antonio is awesome I mean its got a ton of riff raff noobs but every hardcore scene in this country has got that, I really like seeing a lot of new faces and young kids at shows don’t get me wrong but it just seems like allot of them our just trying to hard to fit a certain image of this tough guy hardcore beat down moshers and im just not into it. I think shows should be fun and sketchy and dangerous not violent and stupid. San Antonio hardcore is growing and I think in about a year or 2 it could be one of the top 5 cities for hardcore shows in the United States. I really don’t know how to compare it to south FL hardcore the last few shows iv been to in FL have been really different from the shows I was going to when I was 16-17 years old guess its because im getting older and I understand how hardcore changes and people and bands come and go. Im pretty sure im always going to be into hardcore and punk rock music and I wanna go to shows when im 30 and mosh to bands like blacklisted and bitter end when they are playing reunion shows as old men.

You tour quite often with Bitter End. How has being a road dog treated to you, and what is the craziest moment you have encountered while out on the road?

Haha being on tour is awesome Bitter end apart from being some of my best friends are one of my favorite bands in hardcore right now, they just recorded a 2 songs and an intro for a 7” to be released later this year on malfunction/ deathwish records and it is unbelievable how heaving and fast it is going to blow minds. But being on tour is incredible I have gotten to see some awesome shows all over the country and hang out in some awesome cities with cool people and I would love to do it full time while im still young… touring defiantly takes a toll on you physically and mentally but its all worth it I think. Crazy stories hmmmm well I cant tell you the whole story but we went to a random college party in Grand Rapid Michigan one time with a few dudes from shipwreck ad and we ended up getting pretty trashed basically got into a huge fight with 4 dudes one of which was like 300 lbs, we got our fight on and then some of us went out the front and a few people went out the back and started jumping fences in a city we had never been to before but it was scary we had no clue where everyone was, but we kicked down the white picket fence in front of this frat house it was a wild night I lost like 120 bucks too sucks but it’s a good story.

Scenario: You're having a shitty day. You just got dumped, and your car just broke down in the middle of nowhere. To top it off, your phone is dead and all you have is your ipod. What record(s) would you put on to stop you from throwing yourself into traffic?

Hot Water Music – no division, Blacklisted – our youth is wasted, Andrew wk – party hard,

I pretty much grew up with you going to shows and hanging out. How has hardcore changed in your eyes from when we were young bucks to now in 2008?

Very good question hardcore is a huge part of my life and has been for sometime now, I love going to shows, I love going on tour, I love listening to bands that have something to say, and I am most happy when im at a show hanging with good people being apart of something that makes a difference in my world, fuck the real world. The only difference now is that I understand how the scene works and people come and go including some awesome bands but hardcore is alive and well in 2008 and im stoked to be apart of it.

What was the best show you've been to and why?

This is hardcore fest 2006 Internal affairs, betrayed, guns up, Cro mags, H20! I was stage diving like a wild man!

What upcoming releases are you looking forward to?

Bitter end 7”, new H2o, new Have Heart!

What places do you think have the most active hardcore scenes right now and why?

Ahhh that’s a hard question, Philly, Richmond, Southern California, New York, Boston, Atlanta and Birmingham great cities for hardcore!

If you were given the chance to go back and make right one regret in your past, what would it be?

I cant I have No regrets!

Tell us a tale of your favorite bedroom-mosh-gone-wrong scenario?

Well when the new shipwreck ad record abyss came out I was setin it off upstairs in my living area and my hand went straight into a light fixture attached to the ceiling fan and I thought I broke my hand but I had just sprained it really bad, shipwreck hard dudes!

I just have one last question for you. Did you give her your cock?

Haha no comment!

Give some shout outs!

Shout outs to south FL ill be in you later today and will be there for 2 months lets hang, DNC, Bitter end ( on tour now), shipwreck ad, Beer, summer action

"When Life Hands You Lemons...

...just say "fuck the lemons" and bail."

I'm getting real sick and tired of bands that are trying to blow
up when they have no credibility or anything to stand on. Young bands in Florida used to think that adding a shark riding a skateboard eating pizza while wearing a flip billed hat in neon colors would make them cool. When will bands start realizing that merch isn't everything and that before you start pumping out COOL ideas for your tshirts you should make sure your music doesn't suck a fat one. Put out a demo that makes the world want to scream at the top of their lungs and punch themselves in the face, and then you won't even need shirts to get people's attention.

Everything so far has been good this summer minus the stones acting up.

Really need a job though to bring in some cash. I would love to just relax all summer but I don't have that luxury.

I'm going to be adding a lot more features and content to this thing as soon as I get around to it. Weekly interviews with random people I know, whether they are into hardcore or whatnot, some reviews and some other random content that I am hoping to get done to make this somewhat interesting.

One love.

This Is What I Stand For.

My good good friend Jordan Lyon started up a blog recently entitled Jordan Is Lost. I suggest you check it out, it's just starting out but bare with it because it's the real deal. Be sure to check out the interview with the infamous Mike Murphy. Reading the interview got me really thinking about hardcore and how much I still love it, even in today's current state. The thing with hardcore, to me, is that it goes through phases, and only time can weed out the weak. Even though it may seem weak right now, I think it's as strong as ever. Fuck the insignificant pricks who use it as a gimmick for their image or to make a quick buck. Those who live for this will be here 5 years from now when the hype-kids of today are all selling out and joining frats (no offense to my buddies who have in fact joined frats, actually just Jeff really). But anyways, back to Jordan's blog. He is one of the most sincere people I have ever met and I'm so glad that I got to grow up alongside him in the hardcore scene and that we remained good friends after he moved to San Antonio.

Are you kidding? Thankfully for me, when I went to search for a movie to watch while I worked, C.H.U.D. was on. For those who have yet to see this movie, I recommend you see it immediately. Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers is so bad, that it's good. It has Daniel Stern of Home Alone and Bushwhacked fame, as well as others. Needless to say, it made my unpacking extremely enjoyable.

After working with my dad for awhile today, I went over to my urologist since the good ol' kidney stones are acting up again. Good news is that the doctor thinks that he may have figured out what is causing my kidney stones, so I have to get some blood work drawn and another CT scan. I just want this bullshit figured out already. 10 kidney stones and I'm only 20. Get real.

Tonight I played some scrabble with Judy and her family. The first game was JD, her step-mom, and myself, and her step-mom won. Second game was myself, JD, and her sister, and this was my time to shine. I am a huge scrabble fan and love the game, so I take it very seriously. Judy busted out some really good words, and by the 5th round she had already jumped over 100 points. That's when I busted out my first ever 7-letter word. GROWLED. It was my first legit 7-letter throwdown and all bullshit aside, it was awesome. At the end of the game, my score was 304. Judy had 195, and her sister had 105. The official scrabble guide says that the expert score for a three person game is 180, so both JD and I beat that. By far the best game of scrabble I have ever played. Here was the final board.

Catch ya'll on the flipside.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://everythingsuckstoday.blogspot.com/2008/05/are-you-kidding-your-guys-got-camera.html' title='Are you kidding? It was awesome seeing Blacklisted again. A lot of people don't really like their new album, either they don't like the screaming or they don't like that it's not like their old heavy stuff. Regardless, they are silly. Easily one of the most sincere, hardworking bands in hardcore. I can't think of a time of more than 2 weeks where they aren't touring. Anyways, I really suggest you pick up their new record over at Deathwish or you can just click the picture.

Besides that, nothing is really new. Saw a movie called Baby's Mama last night, and it was absolutely terrible. I would have rather had someone hold me down and taser my face or bury me up to my shoulders and have a 9 year old kick me in the face for almost 2 hours then have seen that movie. Being a 30 Rock fan, I felt a bit let down by Tina Fey. Steve Martin's character was funny. I feel like he was a rip-off of Kevin Nealon's character in Grandma's Boy but only not as funny.

Big things are in the works. We'll see what happens. Until then, stay cold.

I Hate Moving.

Moving sucks. It is stressful, time consuming, and just puts me in a bad mood. Of course, this only occurs when I am moving. Never do I get stressed when I am helping someone move. Because it is myself who is moving, I'm stressing hard. How do I fit my TV in the car? Where is my computer going to go? Monitor? What about my 2 bags of clothes? And then there is everything of Judy's, plus the little boxes filled with god knows what.

I have come up with a new way to move next time, and it involves being a minimalist.

1) Buy A Laptop:
This will save me so much space. No more tower, no more monitor, no more excessive cables. This summer I'm going portable.

2) Less Clothes:
I have so many clothes I barely ever wear. Therefore, I'm getting rid of a majority of my clothes. Mostly just dress shirts I don't wear, and a few random t-shirts floating around. Ebay?

3) No More Books:
I have a problem with books. I have this random habit of reading a book, and then randomly 6 months to 6 years later, wanting to read the book. So in my last move, I brought ALL my books, which was more than enough to completely fill up an entire bookshelf. NEVER AGAIN. I'll leave the books at my parent's house, and if for some odd reasons I want to read them, I'll wait until I go home to visit or ask them to ship it to me.

4) DVD Books:
I already implemented this strategy, but I do highly suggest it. DVD cases are way too bulky. I don't have the space to even display them anymore. Yes, having an entire wall of DVD's looks fucking cool; plain and simple. But I'd rather have two big dvd cases then 700+ dvd cases to move. It's much easier this way. Same concept goes with CD's. I have already ripped everything onto my computer and put it onto my iPod. I don't need to bring my cd's around with me everywhere, or even my records anymore. I'll just leave them at my parent's house next time.

5) No More Little Things
The majority of my space is taken up by bulky boxes to put all the stupid little things I have accumulated over the past 9 months into. Desk accessories, figurines, etc. No need for these items anymore. I did fine without them before, and I'll do just as fine without them again.

I'm pretty much trying to get my travel items down to a science. The more minimal, the better. So far, my list will include:

1) Backpack - This will hold my laptop, iPod, accessories, and random school supplies.
2) DVD Books - Neccessity.
3) Xbox360 - COD4. Enough said.
4) Television - It's only 26", and flat screen. Plus the picture is oh so nice.
5) Duffel Bag - My goal is to fit everything - every item of clothing including t-shirts, jeans, shorts, socks, and boxers - into one duffel bag.

A few other random accessories, and I should be all set. My goal this summer is to also perfect the ultimate toiletry bag. Massive brainstorming must first occur before I accomplish this, but I will make a post as soon as I figure it out.

Until then, take care you degenerates.

Just Another Face In The Crowd.

Every summer I always make goals. I don't know why, because it's the same thing as New Years Resolutions to me; I always make these awesome, elaborate lists that seem totally possibly... but I never follow through on them. They aren't even hard tasks or anything, just things like learn this or work out and what have you.

This summer, however, is going to be different. I have a neat little list of goals ready to go, and I am truly determined to complete the list by the time I move back up to Gainesville at the end of August. And now, ladies and gentleman, the list.

Summer's Resolutions:

1) Build Up Everything Sucks Today / Vilesyntax :
This is number one for numerous reasons. One, I want to build up this blog and make it legit. Why not start this thing up right from the start then keep it bo-bo for awhile and then having to make the adjustments later on in time. I'd rather start off with a bang and fail then keep this going low key until it slowly just disappeared into the dark. Vilesyntax is a completely different beast. This was the site when I first moved to South Florida run by my good friends. The site was so good back then because we were young and that was the content we wanted to see. A bunch of hardcore kids posting videos of shows, skating, fights, pictures of dumb girls, h7 comics talking shit about people... it was awesome. A few weeks ago, while hanging out with Ross, Nicky B, Dan, and a few others, we began to reminisce about Vilesyntax and highschool, and the idea got thrown out there to bring back Vilesyntax. So, there's the story behind why Vilesyntax is coming back up. The other good thing about bringing up these two sites is that I am behind on my coding skills on wouldn't mind freshening up on them.

2) Work Out:
I am nowhere near a fat kid, but I can't even have fun during a band's set anymore without feeling like I am going to die. Therefore, I have decided to start working out this summer. I got tons of friends who are already heavy into it, so I'll just start there. Got the playlist for the first few sessions already set up:

A Death For Every Sin - God's Final Descent
A Death For Every Sin - In A Time Where Hope Is Lost
One Nation Under - S/T
Shockwave - Omega Supreme
Shockwave- The Ultimate Doom
Kickback - Forever War
Leeway - Desperate Measures
Leeway - Born To Expire
Life Of Agony - River Runs Red

I should be set with that playlist for a few good sessions.

3) School:
Planning on taking a few classes towards the end of the summer with Kyle. Not really worried about it too much, just need to take care of some things at BCC before I can register and I should be all set.

4) BBQ's:
I want to have as many themed BBQ's as possible. Good food & good friends, what else could a person need. Lots of turkey burgers and vegan hotdogs for weenies such as myself. Expect ridiculous outfits and hilarious pictures, hopefully up on Vilesyntax in the near future!

5) Certifications:
Every year, I begin to research into new computer certifications and always get myself pumped like "YES, definitely going to do this cert.". Never go through with it. Times are going to change. I wan to pump out at least one certification before the summer's end, while still maintaining my life. We shall see where this one goes, since this is the one resolution I want to do the most but highly doubt I will.

Other than that, my summer should be pretty relaxed. I am planning on spending a good amount of time with my family, Judy and her family, and lots of friends. A few trips should go down, but since no plans are solidified yet - no details. And more tattoos.

One love.

Breaking Down The Walls.

So, I just finished this article over at Yahoo's Tech Security Blog, and if I am reading it correctly (which I am hoping that I am), the Feds are now allowed by courts to copy any and all information from electronic devices that are passing through customs.

Apparently, the ruling comes after an appeal for an ongoing trial involving a man by the name of Michael Arnold. Arnold, while returning home from a trip to the Phillipines, had his laptop seized and searched by Customs agents. Although later on the feds found child pornography on his laptop, there was no initial reasons behind searching his computer.

The ruling goes as far as to allow customs to back up laptop hard-drives, cell phones, and can even search phone records and digital cameras during their searches.

I can easily see why the government would love a ruling
like this for sakes of thwarting terrorism, but what about
the tons of people who will be affected in the long run.
Lawyers traveling overseas with confidential client
information are now subject to having their private
files copied.
